Day 2 (5th July) - Next sight seeing place to visit was "High Line". I did some research about this place when I was in India and it was one of the must visit place in my list
"The High Line is a public park built on a historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side. It runs from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District to West 34th Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues. The High Line is open daily from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
The High Line is a public park built on a historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side. It is owned by the City of New York, and maintained and operated by Friends of the High Line. Founded in 1999 by community residents, Friends of the High Line fought for the High Line’s preservation and transformation at a time when the historic structure was under the threat of demolition. It is now the non-profit conservancy working with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation to make sure the High Line is maintained as an extraordinary public space for all visitors to enjoy."

"The High Line is a 1-mile (1.6 km) New York City linear park built on a 1.45-mile (2.33 km) section of a disused New York Central Railroad spur, the West Side Line, which has been redesigned and planted as an aerial greenway. " - Wikipedia
Reaching at the high line wasn't as hectic as it was reaching to cruise location for statue of liberty. I took the Big Bus from the same place where I deboarded for statue of liberty. A bus was standing there and I told the attendant that I want to go to high line. He told me that this bus will go after one hour but advised me to stay there and he meanwhile called another Big Bus which just passed few minutes back. I would like to mention here that the bus attendant was a nice person and helpful as well. Infect, all the staff from Big Bus were quite helpful.
Along with me were 3 ladies and they also waiting for the bus. The big bus attendant told us to stand on the other side of the road and new bus arrived there in couple of minutes. What's next then. I boarded the bus and get off at High Line.
Visiting High Line was a good decision. The place was very good with full of greenery, quietness and different variety of flowers plantation done thrugh-out the passage. It was very calm place though there were good number of people but most of them were there to enjoy the scenic beauty of plantation done throughout the 1.6 km stretch. I will suggest you to visit High Line when in New York city. Go there and experience how they changed a railway track to a tourist place.
Here are the snaps of High Line. Great place to be there.
